DELIVERING SOCIAL VALUE
IM Properties has set ambitious targets for delivering social value at Peddimore from the outset, working to achieve the principles of the Birmingham Business Charter for Social Responsibility:

PARTNERS IN COMMUNITIES
GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE
We know how crucial it is that we take the time to understand communities’ current and future needs, to ensure we leave a positive lasting legacy. Our commitment to delivering social value at Peddimore has included:
- Creating the Peddimore Community Fund which to date has issued grants of £132,000, supplemented by over £250,000 of charitable donations. We work closely with the Heart of England Community Foundation to identify local causes that will benefit from the fund.
- Donating over 2,500 hours of voluntary time to 35 community groups between IMP and its supply chain to local schools and organisations.
- Supporting 17 schools (against a target of seven) through a range of activities including mock interviews and careers days.
- Funding the creation of the Sutton Connect Green Travel District to help improve sustainable and active travel for residents, workers and visitors.
- Appointing a dedicated Social Value Manager to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders and to facilitate our wider programme of activities.
We are proud of the lasting ties we have forged with local community groups and organisations. Our four Social Value partners are all locally-based, not-for-profit organisations that are already well established in working with communities in Birmingham.
